Shared Humanity

We all experience pain, disconnection distress and armouring with adaptive suffering. Even within our unique individual experiences of varying complexity, there is a shared and common humanity that connects us all. We all tend to feel alone in what we all share the most.

  • longing to be outdoors, move your body or experience playfulness and having difficulty actually doing it or unsure how to begin relaxing into these qualities in your life

  • a preference for self-sufficiency rather than relying on others

  • high-performing, high achieving or simply always striving to do a good job in your work, relationships, art or creative hobbies, hardworking and also really hard on yourself

  • withdrawing or self-isolating during periods of stress, hard work or creativity

  • either powering through or completely losing yourself in your thoughts or feelings in order to eventually get things done

  • thoughts or feelings that the person you are trying to be on the outside doesn't match who you are on the inside
