My Approach
We blossom when we feel free to experiment, embody and experience, and be wisely witnessed in a loving and brave container, nourishing attunement with clear edges.
We align our intentions to our process, rather than a single outcome.
We relate to ourselves consciously and creatively on the inside to live life consciously and creatively on the outside, exploring and imagining multiple outcomes.
We make meaning through the emergence of wisdom and truth from shared presence.
We stretch from the inside with conscious breath.
We walk slowly and gently on the inside. We rest. We repeat over and over again.
The essence of this experience is a nourishing conversation or container of shared space between you and I that supports the nourishing conversation that is simultaneously happening between you and yourself. My practice is 100% individual psychotherapy for adults. I don't perform diagnostic assessments or prescribe medications.
My practice is Relational, Spacious, Gentle and Dynamic. We engage on a moment to moment basis through Shared, Embodied Presence and Wise Attunement in our relationship with our own individual selves, in our therapeutic relationship with each other and in our relationship with nature. We connect to the space within our whole bodies (including our minds) and beyond the body to fully perceive and experience ourselves as we really are in the present moment and meet ourselves with care exactly as we are.
Shared embodied presence and wonder involves exploring the wholeness of your lived experience including thoughts, feelings, body sensations and behaviours. This process allows you to consciously perceive and meet your actual inner experience of life, including the harms and benefits of the ways you cope, processing and integrating stuck pain or joy from any moment in life - past, present or future - and any area of life, liberating you into the freedom of the fully expansive, embodied expression of who you are. When you experience Nourishing Conscious Self-Exploration in Nature in a relaxed and balanced relationship with your whole embodied self, the body's stuckness softens as it remembers that you're a conscious being and the relationship you already have with yourself is a sustainable source of connection, well-being, wise discernment and creative decision making. It continues to soften as you continue to stretch into this remembering, evolve, flourish and integrate this remembering in your relationship with yourself, others, your career or retirement and your life in general outside of our sessions.

My path to this practice has been guided by the wisdom of my personal experiences with suffering early in life, meditation, bodymindfulness, self-compassion, connection, poetry, writing, movement including dance, rock climbing, yoga and walking, nature, rest, and multiple training programs and courses in the fields of BodyMindfulness, trauma-informed frameworks like Somatic Internal Family Systems and Integral Somatic Psychology and Nature Walking Therapy. I had to gather knowledge and intellectual experiences - listed below - before seeing that intellectual knowledge could only carry me so far. The depth and rich complexity of a shared human experience and years of my own conscious self-exploration are my greatest offerings of wisdom to you. I regularly engage in continuing professional development including my own therapy.
Through walking or sitting with me, you may experience...
more space to breathe
more balance, harmony and ease among all parts of you
being more empowered and loving and connected to your true self
being more fully embodied, whole, alive and here, present and playful in your own body and your life
a shift in the energy around whatever you may be carrying in your being - the heart, the mind, the body
the uncovering of a deeper wisdom, courage and creativity from where you will meet what arises within you and in life around you with a greater appropriateness to the situation
more lightness, clarity, confidence and space to see things as they are, including yourself, and meet what's arising within you with care
