From Disconnection to Embodied Connection:
It's not pain that keeps us stuck, it's disconnection from ourselves and our embodied inner knowing of our strength and capacity to meet life as it is

Our greatest value to both ourselves and others is the presence of our whole, true, natural, embodied and connected Self and without forcing anything, we unfold naturally into our wholeness through relaxed, shared presence in relationship with the experience of life.
Blossoming into our true nature is a relational process that unfolds naturally when we experience true connection i.e. the connection that arises when we're not trying.

When we experience pain and disconnection in our relationships, we naturally armour to protect from further pain just enough to survive rather than procesing pain in connection to abundantly thrive. The armouring shows up as the distressing ways of being that bring us temporary relief while also disconnecting us from ourselves and our natural human needs for closeness and true connection with others. The temporary relievers may include keeping busy, constantly working, hobbying, on our screens, eating or substance use, harsh judgement towards ourselves or others, hyperindependence, unfulfilling relationships or work or managing and taking care of others or our living environment. The armour carries the fear of experiencing the pain of disconnection and an energy of desperation in its roles of trying to prevent it or relieve it, often by powering through it or collapsing into it.

Unlike true connection, armouring brings only temporary relief to the fear, without actually processing the pain and the distress of diconnection beneath it. In desperately hiding away the unprocessed pain deep inside us, we cultivate a false sense of our self, others and our environment to carry us through the moments in our lives or relationships where it doesn't feel safe enough to live with integrity from our own natural inner wisdom. It's incredible how these adaptations have served us and brought us so far in life. These ways of being may be experienced more intensely if we happen to be deep thinkers or sensitive souls who may also be ambitious, commonly known as sensitive strivers.

When we begin to feel the weight of the armour, we see the suffering in adapting in ways that provide only temporary relief. We yearn for change, rest, peace, joy, meaning, fulfillment, satisfaction and playful presence in life. We long to live in alignment with our true nature, live the life we want to live and be who we really are. We ask ourselves is there a way to live from such a sacred place without disrupting the goodness we may already have? And if so, how do we cultivate a path to our sense of vitality and aliveness, to a connected Self that is present, whole, embodied and true?

Practicing turning the relational process of true connection inwards through a present, honest, spacious and loving relationship with ourselves in connection with our Wisest Self beneath the armour, and connection to all beings through nature (or a community, a higher power, or the universe), we naturally shift into a state of connection within that allows our true nature to flourish from the inside out.

In true connection with ourselves, our bodies experience the strength and capacity to be seen as they are and held and loved in their experience of disconnected pain or joy, freeing and processing it and allowing our armour to transform from roles driven by fear and desperation to balanced valued processes integrated and aligned with our true nature.

I'm always in the process of becoming more me. We all need spaces, people and practices that allow us to unfold naturally in cultivating the qualities of a present, honest, spacious and loving relationship with ourselves. I bring you the wisdom from my own ongoing practice of settling into the space of inner wisdom within my body(including my mind) that allows my true nature to flourish and my adaptations to continue to serve me in ways that are more aligned with my natural Self and a truer sense of those around me and my environment.
